Novice Guide, published, rewrite, upfront payment Novice Guide is a website that buys quality articles from people who are signed up to be a commissioned writer for them.
A few days back I wrote about two new websites I was trying out. Then a day or so I go I gave your my thoughts on one of those sites List my five. So, I thought it was only fair to share with you my early experience on Novice Guide.
Novice Guide is not quite like most of the content sites many of write for. It has stricter guidelines and the site purchases your article rather than you getting passive income from it over time. As far as I am concerned that works well for me as I like to blend those sites with passive and upfront income to keep a steadier flow of income. That being said here is the general information of how the site works.
You have to pitch your idea for an article to the editors. You can come up with your own ideas or they offer an kind of idea list to choose from. Being new I decided to stick with the idea list for the first few articles.
Once you pitch your idea you then wait for the editor to tell you whether or not they accept your idea. It took 3 days for my idea to be accepted which was entirely my fault. I was suppose to notify the editor that I had something for them to view and being new I missed the directions to do this. So all in all I think the editors were quite alert to find my pitch in such a timely manner.
I was given the go head to write my article (they want them to be between 750 and 1500 hundred words long.) mine was a bit over but, I sent it in anyway.
A day and a half later I got back a message asking for some formatting changes on my article. I made them late last night and returned the corrected article.
There was a lot going home today and I had a batch of writing I had to get done for my ghostwriting site so I didn’t bother to check the progress of my article especially as I had been told that it would take 10 days before you learned if the article was to be published or rejected. So imagine my surprise when I clicked on my email to find a notice that Novice guide had sent a $20.00 payment to my pay pal account for my article.
While it may take a few weeks to really get the hang of writing these articles in the type of format the site wants once I do I can easily see making $80.00 or $100.00 a month off this site in the spare time I have as long as I can keep pitching good article writing ideas. That’s a nice bit of extra income a month from writing one fairly long article a week.
For those of you who don’t mind helping out a fellow Triond writer, I would appreciate it if you took a few minutes to my article “Getting Started Tracing Your Family Tree” and leave a comment or two. I would love to make a good impression from the start and I know a few views and good comments would help.
